The conference is sponsored by The Lower Hudson Regional Special Education Technical Assistance and Support Center and Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health.

How a student feels emotionally affects how well he or she performs in school. A child who is bullied cannot learn effectively, nor can a child who is grieving or struggling with a mental health disorder.

George Sugai, director of the Center for Behavioral Interventions and Supports at the University of Connecticut, will be the keynote speaker. Participants will learn the key features of the Interconnected Systems Framework that support all students through proactive, multi-tiered school and community systems.

The conference is free and open to the public as well as school leaders and teams, social workers, juvenile justice workers and public service organizations. The fee for parking at the County Center is $10.
