Maywood man, 45, struck by car while walking his dog

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 45-year-old Maywood man was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center in serious condition after being hit by a car in while walking his dog outside his apartment last night.

The victim apparently jaywalked directly in front of the vehicle and was struck on West Passaic Street near Oak Avenue around 9:15 p.m., Police Chief David Pegg told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

He was treated by HUMC paramedics and Maywood EMS workers.

The dog wasn’t injured.

No summonses were issued.
