15 Carmel High School Students Inducted Into The Business Honor Society

CARMEL, N.Y. -- The Carmel High School Business Education Department held its annual induction ceremony for the Business Honor Society, and 15 students were inducted on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

The following students were inducted:

Hirwin Alonzo, Briana Ciallela, Miranda Donohue, Valerie Ferretti, Christie Fosina, Victoria Francis, Melissa Martin, Megan Martucci, Matthew McGuinness, Nicole Monahan, Raymond Murphy, Christine Murray, Daniel Reekie, Matthew Saljanin and Elizabeth Toth.

In addition, two adults were recognized as Honorable Inductees: Lauren Piccinich, Carmel High School assistant principal, business education department administrator and Wayne Ryder, president of Putnam County National Bank. 

To be selected, students must have completed at least four business education classes (including at least 1 college credit course), have at least an 88 average in those business education courses and have an overall average of 85 or greater. 

These students have taken various business education classes such as college accounting, college management, college sports marketing, college business law, web page design, computer literacy and strategies for success. 

These students can take these business and life skills with them into any college or career choice.
