Police: White Plains Man Assaulted His Girlfriend

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A White Plains man, 35, was arrested outside his North Broadway apartment and charged with assaulting his girlfriend early Monday morning, according to a police report.

Juan Lee, who police said punched his girlfriend and threw items, is charged with third-degree assault, endangering the welfare of a child and third-degree menacing. 

Lee shares an apartment with his girlfriend, who is also the mother of his 12-year-old daughter, according to police. The child was not injured, but the victim, 51, suffered bruising near her left eye, police said. She refused medical attention.

The police report said Lee was impaired by drugs during the incident, which took place between 12:30 a.m. and 1:39 a.m. He also has a history of domestic violence, has access to weapons and has a history of drug abuse, the police report said. 

Lee appeared in court later Monday.
