With more than 70 employees participating, Houlihan Lawrence collectively raised more than over $10,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society’s mission to raise awareness and support research, treatment, programs and services for people living with MS.
More than 50 Houlihan Lawrence team members participated in the Westchester event, which kicked off at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, while nearly 20 team members rallied for the cause in Putnam County, where the walk began at the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department.
By the day’s end, MS Walk 2014 Westchester raised $251,000 and MS Walk 2014 Putnam raised an additional $33,000 in funds, with donations still coming in.
“Houlihan Lawrence is dedicated to raising awareness for cutting-edge MS research and treatment in the communities we serve and operate in,” said Stephen Meyers, president and chief executive officer of Houlihan Lawrence. “Walk MS is a day that brings friends, families, and coworkers together to embrace an important cause, and we are very proud to be part of the continued efforts in improving the lives of people living with MS.”
Houlihan Lawrence will also support the annual Dystel Memorial Golf Classic in June and the Women on the Move Luncheon in September.
