RYE, N.Y. -- Rye City Manager Scott Pickup has resigned from his position, according to a report from LoHud.

Pickup reached a separation agreement with the city to resign as city manager effective Wednesday, April 23, but he is set to remain employed by the city until July 10 to aid in a transition for a new city manager, according to city documents.

The city will pay Pickup a "one-time severance payment" of $59,375 and continue to pay him his bi-weekly salary during that period, according to the LoHud report.

"Pickup's departure comes five months after the former general manager of the city-operated Rye Golf Club was arraigned on a grand larceny charge accusing him of stealing $271,120 from the city and club," according to the LoHud report.
