Thefts From Five Vehicles Reported In Rye

RYE, N.Y. ‒ Electronics and change were taken Friday and Sunday from five vehicles in Rye, police said.

The thefts were reported at 11 and 3 Johnson Place, 140 and 160 Florence Ave., and 4 York Ave., police said. Residents had left their cars unlocked on York Avenue and at 140 Florence Place.

Police were not sure whether the thefts were related.

Also from the Rye Police blotter:

 An employee of Bilotta Construction Corp. found two hypodermic needles on the ledge of the business’s front door Friday. Police destroyed the needles.

 A resident reported property missing Sunday from a locker at the Rye YMCA.
