State Police Issue 48 Tickets To Distracted Drivers On Sprain Brook

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Hawthorne barracks conducted a distracted driving enforcement detail on the Sprain Brook Parkway in the Towns of Greenburgh and Mount Pleasant on Thursday, October 29, officials report.

During this detail, a total of 48 tickets were issued, according to state police: 11 for motorists who failed to obey the move over law; 11 for cell phone violations; 10 for speeding; five for failing to wear a seat belt; and two for texting while driving

Nine other miscellaneous vehicle and traffic tickets were also issued, state police report.
