S. Carolina Officials Investigate Rye College Student's Death

RYE, N.Y. -- South Carolina law enforcement officers are investigating the death of Rye 21-year-old Michael James Rath, according to a report from SCNow.com.

Rath, a Rye native and freshman at Coastal Carolina University, was found dead in his apartment in university housing Wednesday. University spokeswoman Martha Hunn said investigators are looking into the death, according to the report. Horry County Coroner Robert Edge said Rath was found on a sofa. The South Carolina State Law Enforcement Division is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death.
