The AAA Community Traffic Safety Awards Program is an AAA Club-based awards program involving communities of all sizes. AAA Clubs make applications available to communities such as cities and towns, asking officials to describe their traffic safety activities of the previous year.

Communities that can prove successful efforts to improve traffic safety are awarded various award plaques, ranging from bronze, awarded to communities that implement programs and projects that demonstrate a substantial effort to address local traffic safety issues; to platinum, which is given to communities that demonstrate outstanding success in addressing local traffic safety issues.
