Route 1 In Mamaroneck Reopens After Restaurant Fire Leads To Closure

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Mamaroneck firefighters responded to a fire at 589 East Boston Post Road in the Great Wall II Chinese Restaurant shortly before 9 a.m. Monday.

Village police confirmed a fire at that location.

The restaurant remained boarded up on Tuesday.

State Department of Transportation officials reported that Boston Post Road (Route 1) was closed at 10:15 a.m. between North Barry Avenue and Dubois Avenue until approximately 1:30 p.m.
