On Friday, April 21, New York State Police and the Westchester County Child Advocacy investigated reports of a sexual offense that had been reported to state police involving 56-year-old Verplanck resident Kenneth Brody, who is a level 2 sex offender.
According to police, during the investigation, it was determined that Brody subjected a teenage boy under the age of 15 to sexual contact on several occasions in the town of Cortlandt.
As a Level 2 threat, the Division of Criminal Justice Services has designated Brody as a “moderate risk of a repeat offense.”
Brody was charged with three felony counts of second-degree criminal sexual act. He was arraigned in the Town of Cortlandt Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail.
