PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – A 28-year-old man was arrested on an assault charge after he was accused of punching his girlfriend in the face during an argument, police said.
Officers were called to the corner of North Pearl Street and Irving Avenue where they found the couple sitting in the front seat of an SUV. The woman had swelling and bruising on her right eye and was crying. She told police she hit her face on the door of the SUV. Witnesses told police they saw the man punching her in the face.
Both were brought into headquarters where she admitted what had happened, police said. Jorge Siguenza-Mora, 28, of 338 Locust Ave., Port Chester was charged with assault in the third degree.
