The student was walking to Port Chester High School when a man jumped out of the bushes with his pants around his ankles near the corner of College and Glen avenues, Conway said.

The girl ran safely into PCHS, where she called her father, who notified police, Conway said.

The Port Chester-Rye Union Free School District emailed a photo of the suspect that was released by the police. Conway said the photo was taken during a similar incident reported in the past and that an arrest was expected Tuesday afternoon.

The suspect is described as a slender, light-skinned man in his late 20s or early 30s. He is about 6 feet tall, with a dark beard and short hair. He was wearing a hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information about the suspect should call Port Chester police at 914-939-2008. All calls are confidential.
