An autopsy was performed Monday and investigators are awaiting a toxicology report to determine her cause of death, according to lohud.com. Her body did not have obvious signs of trauma, according to lohud.
Lacey was found unresponsive by her father, David Carr, Sunday afternoon on Hastings Avenue in Croton, according to Croton Police Sgt. John Nikitopoulos. Lacey was taken to Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow where she was pronounced dead.
Kathleen Dymes, Lacey's mother, was also found unconscious and was taken to Phelps where she is being treated. Police have ruled out carbon monoxide as a cause and said they are still investigating. Dymes and Lacey lived at the home with Dymes' father.
Dymes had twice been suspended by the state when she worked as a registered nurse.
In June 2012, the New York State Office of Professonal Discipline gave Dymes a three-month suspension, a 21-month stayed suspension and 24 months probation after she was convicted of DWI, attempted false written statement and petit larceny, all misdemeanors.
In June 2002, Dymes was given a one-year suspension and one-year probation after she admitted to diverting Demerol from a hospital for her own personal use.
