Car Crashes Through Rye Brook Home

RYE BROOK, N.Y. — A car crashed through a house at 4 Deer Run in Rye Brook on Tuesday afternoon when a teenage girl accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake while turning into the garage.

The girl's BMW went through the wall of the garage, causing unspecified damage to the home, Police Lt. Eugene Matthews said.

Con Edison electrical and gas crews were on the scene to ensure the safety of the home, but they did not have to turn off either utility. The Port Chester Fire Department was on hand as well. Matthews said no one was injured.
