Ted M. Levine, 88, Of Rye

PLEASANTVILLE, N.Y. – Ted M. Levine, a longtime resident of Rye, died on Thursday, August 6. He was 88.

Levine was born on March 8, 1927, in New York City, graduating from Cornell University and New York University.

He served as director of public relations for the government of Puerto Rico, founded the Development Counsellors International (DCI) marketing firm, served on the board of the Rye Historical Society, created and hosted "What's Your Rye-Q?" for Rye's public access TV station, and taught courses on film and popular culture at Iona College, Palm Beach Community College and the Jewish Community Center of Boynton Beach.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; three sons, David, Andy and Jeffrey, and two grandsons, Terrell and Evan; brother Bobby, sister Mimi Rockmore.

A memorial service will be held at the Graham Funeral Home at 1036 Boston Post Road in Rye on Saturday at noon.

Interment at the Greenwood Union Cemetery will follow.
