Rose Cannavo, 80, Owned Town And Country Boutique In Rye

PORT CHESTER, N.Y. - Rose Cannavo, a resident of Port Chester, died Oct. 2. She was 80.

Cannavo was born Sept. 28, 1933, in Limina, Messina, Sicily, Italy, to Carmelo and Filippa Saglimbeni Garigali. She immigrated to the United States at the age of 17. She was the owner and operator of Town and Country Boutique in Rye. She was a member of Harvest Time Assembly of God Church in Greenwich.

Cannavo is survived by her husband, Leonardo Cannavo of Port Chester; children, Nanci Briganti (Anthony) of Port Chester, Joseph Cannavo (Jeanne) of Juno Beach, Fla., Carmela Cannavo of Scarsdale and Lenny Cannavo of Port Chester; four grandchildren; and sister, Josephine Ragusa of Lynbrook. She was predeceased by her parents; and sister, Carmela Manuli.

Calling hours are from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4 at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. Funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Harvest Time Assembly of God Church, 1338 King St., Greenwich. Interment will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye.
