RYE BROOK, N.Y. Pietro Lagana of Rye Brook died Aug. 23. He was 88.
Lagana was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Scillia, Reggio Calabria, Italy to Dominick and Maria Bellantoni Lagana. Raised and educated in Italy, he was married to Annunziata Scarfone. She predeceased him on May 2, 2009. Lagana was a retired machine operator for Arnold's Bakery.
He is survived by two daughters, Maria (Robert) Giuliani and Antoinette Martorano and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated Monday at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. Craft Memorial Home in Port Chester handled arrangements.
