Mildred Hudak, 50-Year Resident Of Rye Brook, 85

RYE BROOK, N.Y. -- Mildred R. Hudak, a 50-year resident of Rye Brook, passed away on Monday, Jan. 19.

Born in Binghamton, N.Y., on Sept. 9, 1929, she was the daughter of John Kocak and Mary Charnisky Kocak. Mildred was a graduate of Binghamton High School Class of 1947.

She started her working career with the First National Bank in Binghamton. She lived in Minnesota for seven years before moving back to New York in 1964. She married the love of her live, John B. Hudak, who predeceased her in December 1995.

Together they raised two children during their 45-year marriage. Mildred loved playing Scrabble with her daughter, playing bridge with friends and working the daily New York Times crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Trumino of Rye Brook; a daughter-in-law, Tina Hudak of Cortland Manor; and two grandchildren, Christopher and Danielle Hudak of Cortland Manor. Also surviving are her two sisters-in-law, Mary Siroskey of Johnson City, N.Y., and Barbara Kocak of Binghamton; and 12 nieces and nephews. Mildred's son, John A. Hudak, predeceased her.

The family will receive friends at the Graham Funeral Home, 1036 Boston Post Road, Rye, on Thursday, Jan. 22, from 3-8 p.m. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Paul's Roman Catholic Church in Greenwich, Conn. on Friday, Jan. 23, at 11 a.m.
