Michael De Feo, 74, Rye Massage Therapist

RYE, N.Y. – Michael De Feo, a longtime resident and licensed massage therapist of Rye, died Jan. 9. He was 74.

De Feo was licensed in New York for more than 45 years and was a sole practitioner for the past 38 years. He took great pride in relieving thousands of clients from pain and stress, his family said.

Born July 22, 1938, in Santo Stefano del Sole, Italy, he was the son of Natale and Michelina Renzulli De Feo. He immigrated to the U.S. when was 15 and served in the Air National Guard from 1957 to ’62.

De Feo is survived by his wife of 41 years, Anna; five children, Michael De Feo, Michelle (Jonathan) Gould, Roberto (Debra) De Feo, Nicole De Feo and Christine (Rob) Krelekamp; a sister, Frances Laurino; four brothers, Carmine, Silvio, Cesare and Val; and many grandchildren. He was by predeceased two brothers, Gaetano and Pierino.

Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Graham Funeral Home in Rye. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Resurrection in Rye. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
