NORWALK, Conn. -- Mary Stoerzinger, of Norwalk, died Dec. 24. She was 89.
She was born Jan. 7, 1926, in Rye, N.Y. to Carmella and Luigi Di Lonardo.
She was predeceased by her husband William Stoerzinger, her daughter, Mary Ann Rees and her husband Edwin Rees, two sisters, Lena Lind and Jean Stoerzinger and her brother, Joseph Di Lonardo.
She is survived by her daughters Patricia Abbott and her husband Harry of Redding, Linda St George and her husband Brian of Shelton and Barbara Friend and her husband Edwin of Norwalk; grandchildren Jeffrey Rees, Matthew Rees, Kerri Rees Rivera and her husband Caesar, Jackie School and her husband Rowland, Robert Abbott, Amanda Sheridan and her husband Tom and Daniel St. George; two great-grandchildren Addison and Isabelle School and several nieces and nephews.
She was employed by Life Savers and Save the Children before her retirement.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home, 92 East Ave., Norwalk. A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. A burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Norwalk.
