RYE BROOK, N.Y. - Marie "Babe" Malpelli, a resident of Rye Brook died May 16. She was 80.
Malpelli was born April 5, 1933, in Port Chester to Augustine and Anna Mase DeLago. She graduated from Port Chester High School. She was a retired administrative assistant and for many years worked for ITT Continental Baking Company in Harrison and then worked for Nynex. She was a parishioner of the Holy Rosary Church.
Malpelli is survived by her daughter, JoAnn Malpelli-Romanello of Port Chester; son, Raymond Malpelli of Roseland, N.J.; two grandsons; brother, Joseph DeLago of Old Greenwich, Conn. She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Raymond M. Malpelli; brothers, Louis, John, James and Anthony DeLago; and sisters, Carmela Doria and Lucia DeLago.
There will be no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 23 at Holy Rosary Church 22 Don Bosco Place, Port Chester. Interment to follow at Saint Mary's Cemetery Rye Brook.
