Irvin G. Wilmot, 92, Longtime Resident Of Rye

RYE, N.Y. - Irvin G. Wilmot, a 50 year resident of Rye, died Nov. 22. He was 92.

Wilmot was born June 30, 1922, in Nanking, China, to Dr. Frank A. Wilmot and Ethel Ranney Wilmot. He was raised in Glendale, Calif. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1940 to 1946 as an aviation chief machinist's mate. He was a graduate of Northwestern University, Class of 1955 and held a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Chicago, Class of 1957.

He was an innovator and leader in the hospital and health care administration field. He held senior executive management positions at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics, New York University Medical Center, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New York and Montefiore Medical Center during his 38 years in hospital and health care administration.

Wilmot is survived by his children, Marcia B. Wilmot of Port Washington, and David M. Wilmot of Las Vegas, Nev.; and two nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy Agnes Wilmot.

Calling hours are Saturday, Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Graham Funeral Home. A religious service will be held at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery, Rye.
