RYE, N.Y. – Irene Santa, a resident of Rye for more than 50 years, died June 6. She was 89.
Santa was born Feb. 3, 1923, in New York City. She was a homemaker and avid fan of the New York Yankees, the New York Giants and the Rye Garnets. Santa also served as a den mother at Resurrection School.
She is survived by three sons, William, Jim and Frank; a daughter, Donna; and seven grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Memorial Chapel in Mamaroneck. Burial will follow at Greenwood Union Cemetery.
