Harold Cook Jr., 91, Rye Parks, Trees Supervisor

RYE, N.Y. - Harold Cook Jr., a lifelong resident of Rye, died Oct. 11. He was 91.

Cook was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Port Chester, to Harold and Anna Cook. He attended Resurrection Elementary School and graduated from Rye High School. He was a WWII veteran having served as a seaman 1st class in the United States Coast Guard. He worked for the City of Rye as the Parks and Trees supervisor before retiring after 39 years of service. Cook is survived by his children, Pamela Jacobs of Rye and Harold Patrick Cook of Mt. Pleasant, Mich.; a grandson; and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marjorie; and brother, Gerard.

Calling hours are Tuesday, Oct. 14 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Graham Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15 at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye.
