Elizabeth Hickey Hubbard, 58, Former Rye Resident

GREENWICH, Conn. - Elizabeth Hickey Hubbard of Greenwich died June 11. She was 58.

Hubbard was born May 4, 1955, in Grosse Pointe, Mich. She graduated from Grosse Pointe South High School and Denison University. After living in Chicago and Winnetka, Ill, she made her home in Rye, N.Y. and later Greenwich, and Delray Beach, Fla.

She worked at The Stanwich School and Brunswick School. She volunteered at the Buick Classic golf tournament and was a co-chair of volunteers. She was on the board of the local chapter of the American Red Cross. She also volunteered with the Rye Nature Center, the Rye Free Reading Room, and the Rye chapters of the TWIG and Garden Club of America.

Hubbard is survived by her husband, George; children, George Jr., Ted, and Libby; a granddaughter; three siblings; and many family and friends.

Calling hours are Friday, June 14 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Knapp Funeral Home in Greenwich. A funeral to celebrate Hubbard’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 15 at Rye Presbyterian Church in Rye, N.Y.
