TRUMBULL, Conn. - Edward “Peppy” Iannarelli, of Trumbull and formerly of Rye, N.Y., died Sunday May 5. He was 78.
Iannarelli was born Dec. 15, 1935, to Edward M. and Margaret Duffy Iannarelli. He was raised in Mamaroneck. He attended Holy Trinity School, Blessed Sacrament, St. Gabriel High School and was a graduate of Mamaroneck High School 53’. After he married in 1961 he bought a home on Wainwright St. in Rye where he lived with his family for 46 years before moving to Trumbull in 2012. He was softball coach for the ladies softball team for 38 years. He served as an usher at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 21 for 45 years.
Iannarelli is survived by his wife, Louise (nee Yusi); children, Dawn Iannarelli Hnatuk (Bill) of Trumbull, Edward Iannarelli Jr. and Mary Tierney of Carmel, N.Y. and Mark Iannarelli (Carla) of the Bronx, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and siblings, Bill Iannarelli of Fort Pierce, Fla., and Margaret “Mickey” Camillo of Greenwich. He was predeceased by his parents; and sister, Lucille Carriero.
Calling hours are Wednesday, May 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 767 East Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Resurrection in Rye. followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery 1056 Daniels Farm Road, Trumbull.
