Anne R. Lavan, 80, Of Rye

RYE, N.Y. - Anne R. Lavan of Rye, formerly of Farmingdale, died April 16. She was 80.

Lavan was born in the Belle Harbor section of Queens, to Thomas and Mary McCabe. She studied at Fordham University.

Lavan is survived by her children, Maryanne Lavan Harris (Larry), Laura Van Buren (Matt), Thomas J. Lavan III (Lisa), Roger Lavan (Laura), Brian Lavan (Carolyn), Peter Lavan (Kathleen); brother, Thomas McCabe (Eileen); and 13 grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents; son, Matthew J. Lavan; and sister, Mary Jane Berkery.

Calling hours are  Wednesday, April 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, April 18, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Coxe & Graziano Funeral Home 767 E. Boston Post Road, Mamaroneck. Call 914-698-5968 for more information.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, April 19, at 11 a.m. at The Church of Resurrection in Rye. Committal will be private.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lavan’s memory to the Matthew J. Lavan Endowed Scholarship Fund at Fordham University, 888 7th Ave., 7th Floor New York, NY 10019.
