What's Open/Closed in Rye on Labor Day

RYE, N.Y.-- Here's a list of what's open and closed in Rye for Labor Day on Monday.

Many businesses and government offices will be closed for Labor Day.

What's Closed:

  • Rye City Hall will be closed.
  • All Rye schools will be closed.
  • The Rye YMCA will be closed.
  • Rye Playland will be open.
  • The Rye Free Reading Room will be closed.
  • The Post Office will be closed.

What's Open:

Supermarkets, restaurants, bars, liquor stores and other retail locations are open. However, these places may be operating on a Sunday schedule or special holiday hours. It’s a good idea to call ahead before heading out to any of these establishments.

Trains:

If you’re planning a trip via Metro-North Railroad, extra getaway trains are planned for Friday. The regular weekend schedule will be in effect Saturday and Sunday. Also, the Sunday schedule will be in effect Monday.
