What's Happening This Weekend in Rye

RYE, N.Y. - From plays to games to a farmers market, there's a lot going on this weekend around Rye. Check out these events taking place this weekend.

-Rye High School Parsons Street Players will perform the Tony Award winning musical Pippin at the high school starting at 8 p.m. on Friday and finishing with two shows on Saturday, one at 2 p.m. and one at 8 p.m..

-The Rye Free Reading Room is hosting teen game night from 3:15 to 5 p.m. on Friday.

-Children ages 12 to 15 are invited to a night of Skiing/Snow Boarding at Thunder Ridge courtesy of the Rye YMCA this Friday . The bus departs at 3:30 p.m. and returns at 10 p.m. Tickets are $50 for members and $60 for non-members and registration is required.

- Friday night is "Boys Night In" from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Rye YMCA. Boys ages 5 to 11 are invited to participate in an evening swimming, sports, and games. Tickets range from $10 to 20 based on membership status.

- The Rye YMCA's High School Teen Night from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. offers area teens an opportunity for basketball, swimming (swim caps required), exercise, video games or socializing with friends in the Teen Lounge. Members are free, non-members pay $5.

-Come to Ruby's Oyster Bar on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. for a cup of coffee with Assembly members George Latimer and Suzy Oppenheimer.

- The Friends of Rye Town Park will hold its Spring Fundraiser at Covleigh Club in Rye on Saturday evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. The evening’s theme “Make a Splash” will call attention to safety, aesthetic and maintenance improvements to the duck pond at Rye Town Park.

- The Rye Brook Indoor Farmers Market will be open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the AJP Senior Center.

-The Rye YMCA's Middle School event Y2Night ! opens up the facility to middle schoolers for activities from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday night. Free for members and $5 for non-members.

-Artist Lexi Hart will visit the Rye Free Reading Room from 1 to 4 for the opening reception of her cartoon collection.
