RYE, N.Y. – This weekend, Rye's many community groups are offering fundraising dinners, outdoor adventures and vehicle fairs.

Friday, June 1

Sunset Kayak Tour on the Sound: 4 p.m. Join the Rye YMCA for a sunset kayak tour on the Long Island Sound as they travel to Downunder Kayaks in Rowayton, Conn. Reservations are $60 for members and $70 for non-members. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Avenue, Rye.

Night of the Horseshoe Crab: 10:30 p.m. The Marshlands Conservancy is holding a special observance of the horseshoe crab's mating and egg hatching habits. Rye Marshlands Conservancy, 220 Boston Post Road, Rye.

Rye Historical Society Annual Fundraiser and Gala: 6:30 p.m. The Rye Historical Society has invited you to an evening that brings history to life. This year at the Knapp House the society will be honoring Pam and Gene McGuire. The Knapp House, 265 Rye Beach Avenue, Rye.

Sleep for Solutions: 7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. Blind Brook schools are hosting their annual Sleep for Solutions fundraiser on Saturday night through Sunday morning to raise money for the hungry and homeless. Blind Brook Middle School/High School Fields, 840 King Street, Rye Brook.

National Cancer Survivor's Day Celebration: 10 a.m. The Rye YMCA is celebrating National Cancer Survivor's day with a free breakfast celebration featuring musical entertainment. Gilda's Club Westchester, 80 Maple Avenue, White Plains.

Reading Room Vehicle Fair: 11:30 a.m. The Rye Free Reading Room's annual vehicle fair is at the Osborn school this weekend. The event will feature a raffle, prizes, games, face painting and of course exciting cars to ride in and investigate. Osborn School, 10 Osborn Road, Rye.
