RYE, N.Y. - Whether you like literary puppets, movies in the park or strawberries, there is something for you this weekend in Rye and Rye Brook.

Friday, May 18

Rye Brook Recreation Movie Night: 8 p.m. Rye Brook's Recreation Department will host a free screening of "The Zookeeper." Refreshments will be available for purchase. Pine Ridge Park, Latonia Drive and Mohegan Lane, Rye Brook.

Saturday, May 19

"Dream Big - Read!" Puppet Show: 2 p.m. Puppeteer "Magic" Jim Vagias and his trusty sidekick puppet, Mortimer, come to the Rye Free Reading Room to share how they use books to explore dreams and imagination. Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.

Sunday, May 20

American Red Cross Lifeguard Management Class: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This daylong class provides participants with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively manage lifeguards and to create an environment that keeps patrons, lifeguards and the aquatic facility safe. Registration is $110 for members and $120 for nonmembers. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Avenue, Rye.

Bike to the Y Day: 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Rye YMCA is offering a triumvirate of cycling activities as it celebrates the health of your body and your earth. The first 75 cyclists that arrive at the YMCA will receive a free bike bell. To register click here. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Ave., Rye.

Strawberry Sunday at the Rye Nature Center: 1 p.m. Join the Rye Nature Center for a sweet afternoon of simple fun and activities that the whole family will enjoy. Admission is free but punch cards need to be purchased for food, activities and games. Rye Nature Center, 873 Boston Post Road, Rye.
