Monday, June 11

Rye YMCA Mini-Camp Begins: 9:30 a.m. A unique experience for children ages 3-5. The Rye Y’s Mini-Camp is a great way for your child to remain active, engaged and safe while nursery schools are closed. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Ave., Rye.

Tuesday, June 12

Village of Rye Brook Board of Trustees Meeting: 7 p.m. The Board of Trustees will meet at Village Hall. Over the weekend, Rye Brook will celebrate its 30th anniversary as a village. Village Hall, 938 King St., Rye Brook.

Rye Board of Education Meeting: 8 p.m. The board will review the proposed 2012-13 food-service budget and conduct a preliminary review of the 2012 fund balance, including the tax certiorari reserve. Members of the public are welcome and encouraged to attend this meeting and speak during the public hearing on the budget. Rye Middle School, 3 Parsons St.

Wednesday, June 13

Greenwich Hospital Doctor Discusses Spinal Disease: 6:30 p.m. Learn about the most common causes of low back and radiating leg pain. Dr. Andrea Douglas will discuss minimally invasive techniques for treating lumbar spine degeneration, spinal decompression and spinal fusion options. Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road.

City Council Meeting: 8 p.m. The City Council will meet and continue the public hearing on the tree ordinance, in addition to considering capital projects for the November bond referendum. City Hall, 1051 Boston Post Road.

Thursday, June 14

Local Teen Author to Speak on New Book: 7 p.m. Rye author Annabel Monaghan will speak about her new book, A Girl Named Digit, at the Rye Free Reading Room. 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.
