RYE, N.Y. -- From municipal meetings to community gatherings here's what's happening around Rye this week.

Monday, May 7

Blind Brook Board of Education Meeting: 8 p.m. Blind Brook's Board of Education will meet inside of the Media Center and hold the public hearing for the adopted 2012-13 school budget. Blind Brook Middle School/High School, 840 King St., Rye Brook.

Tuesday, May 8

Village of Rye Brook Board of Trustees Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The Village of Rye Brook's Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday inside of Village Hall. On the agenda for the meeting is the consideration of creating a building amnesty program. Rye Brook Village Hall, 938 King St., Rye Brook.

Rye Board of Education Meeting: 8 p.m. The Rye Board of Education will meet inside the middle school multipurpose room on Tuesday. The meeting is the last meeting of the board before the budget vote on May 15. Rye Middle School, 3 Parsons St., Rye.

Wednesday, May 9

Rye City Council Meeting: 8 p.m. The Rye City Council will meet inside the Square House on Wednesday. Each year the council meets inside of the Square House, which was the original Village Hall and now hosts the Rye Historical Society. The Square House, 1 Purchase St., Rye.

Thursday, May 10

Computer Basics and Internet Class: 10 a.m. Learn computer basics at the Rye Free Reading Room including how to use the mouse, keyboarding, how to activate computer programs and produce and print a simple letter. Rye Free Reading Room, 1061 Boston Post Road, Rye.

Friday, May 11

High School Teen Night at the Rye YMCA: 7 p.m. The Rye YMCA is open for basketball, swimming (swim caps required), working out, video games, or socializing with friends in the Teen Lounge. Teens can also try air hockey, pool, ping-pong or foosball in the Game Room. The event is free for members and $5 for non members. Rye YMCA, 21 Locust Ave., Rye.
