A Pleasantville mom worried that her 11-year-old son is being radicalized by her ex-husband is suing for sole custody of the boy, according to multiple sources.

In a first-of-its-kind case, Nabila Albarghouthy, 45, claimed in court filings Wednesday that her ex-husband, Isam Albarghouthy, was indoctrinating the child with extremist Muslim ideals, reported the New York Post.

At the Manhattan office of her lawyer Leslie F. Barara, the mother said her son's brainwashing has caused problems at Pleasantville Middle School when he made comments that prompted school officials to call the police, the Post said.

During the incident, some students told the boy that "Jesus is God," and he responded: "No — Allah is God’ and that [Allah] is different because ‘I would die for my God and they would not die for their God,’ ” the petition says.

She also states in the court filings that her son has talked about collecting guns and violence and that her son has become more withdrawn and doesn't spend time with his family or friends anymore.

Both parents became American citizens after immigrating from the Mideast: Nabila came to the U.S. from Israel at age 5, Isam, 43, came from Jordan at age 19, the Post reported.

Nabila Albarghouthy said in the court filings that her husband changed after he was convicted of stealing some computer equipment from his employer.

The couple later moved to New York to start over, and that's when the ex-husband became conservative and switched to a stricter mosque. He also demanded that his wife dress more modestly and stop exercising, the filing states.

The couple divorced after he demanded to take a second wife in 2012. When Nabila refused he divorced her, the court papers say.

Isam Albarghouthy said in a statement through his lawyer that the allegations are outrageous.
