NEW YORK, N.Y. – Metro-North commuters faced a demonstration Wednesday evening as protesters staged a "die-in" at Grand Central Station.
The protestors lay on the ground at Grand Central following a Staten Island grand jury's decision not to bring criminal charges against a police officer who placed a black man in a chokehold, causing his death.
Eric Garner died in July after Officer Daniel Pantaleo placed him in a chokehold. The officer had stopped Garner for allegedly selling loose cigarettes.
