RYE, N.Y. -- The sale of Rye Town Hall tops the news this week.

  • Officials from the Town of Rye approved the sale of Town Hall to the owners of Neri's Bakery and the Capitol Theatre for $1.85 million. The Town will move its operations to the Village of Port Chester's offices on Grace Church Street by the end of the year.
  • The Rye City Democratic Committee nominated Meg Cameron and Shari Punyon to run for City Council. The two will run against Republicans Kristin Bucci, Julie Killian and Terry McCartney and Independent Jason Mehler.
  • Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino signed the agreement for Sustainable Playland Inc. to take over operations of Rye Playland next year. He also signed the lease for the Westchester Children's Museum to open at the amusement park.
