Vanessa Hoodith, 16 of Brooklyn, was a passenger in the rear of the 2013 Audi A4 that was involved in the crash and was killed as a result, according to New York State Police.

The driver of the vehicle was attempting to exit I-95 at Exit 19 onto Playland Parkway at a high rate of speed. The driver failed to negotiate the turn and struck a concrete barrier with the left side of the vehicle, police said.

The other four occupants in the vehicle were taken to area hospitals to be treated for their injuries. No charges have been filed against the driver, police said.
