RYE/PORT CHESTER, N.Y. – Rye and Port Chester residents confused about how to fill out income tax forms can receive assistance at Sen. George Latimer’s office in Port Chester.
Latimer (D-Rye) said he wants to help the people in his communities get their tax questions answered, and their tax forms easily filled out.
“Offering this service is just another way of being helpful to the community,” Latimer said in a statement.
“Every year we all fill out these forms and many of us have the same questions year after year but have to pay an expert to get the right answers,” he said.
“As a senator, my job is to advocate on behalf of the people who elected me and try to improve their lives. By performing this service, we are anticipating the needs of the community and taking proactive steps to make certain critical functions easier than they ordinarily would be.”
IT-201 forms and other related New York state tax forms are available at Latimer’s office, 222 Grace Church Street, Room 305. Senior citizens can also have forms delivered to them.
Residents need to request forms by March 31.
Only forms for New York state taxes are available.
