Son of Former Rye Official Killed on Subway Tracks

Michael Ice, 22, the son of a former Rye school board member, was killed on the subway tracks in New York City Saturday.

According to New York City Police sources, Ice was on the tracks at the Spring Street station at 5:49 a.m. Saturday when he was hit by an approaching train. The Emergency Medical Services responded and pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police said Ice was walking south on the roadbed when he was struck by a 6 train. 

Police said an investigation is ongoing.
