Severe Thunderstorm Watch In Effect For Rye

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Westchester County until 7 p.m. on Wednesday.

Storms will become severe after 5 p.m. on Wednesday with large hail, damaging winds and frequent lighting possible in certain areas. Chance of thunderstorms and rain is 60 percent.

Storms and showers will linger on Thursday with a high near 84.

Expect sun to return on Friday with a high around 80 degrees.
