New York State Police in Westchester are seeking the public’s assistance as they continue their search for a man wanted on multiple charges.

State Police in Tarrytown issued an alert this week for 29-year-old Diego Tamay, who is wanted on charges that include felony driving while intoxicated and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle dating back to an incident in 2012.

According to police, on July 8, 2012, Tamay was driving on the New York State Thruway when he rear-ended another vehicle. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that Tamay was intoxicated. He was arrested for DWI, which was upgraded to a felony due to a previous conviction for the same charge.

Police described Tamay as a 5-foot-6 Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes. He weighed approximately 160 pounds at the time of his arrest.

Anyone with information on Tamay’s whereabouts, or who may spot him have been asked to contact state police by calling (518) 436-2825 or emailing CrimeTip@troopers.ny.gov.
