  • The NBC series "Law & Order: SVU" filmed scenes in Rye on Monday. Crews were stationed on Elm Place in the central business district, as well as the Coveleigh Club.
  • A Rye auxiliary police officer was charged with falsifying documents in a police uniform bid. John Holmes, the owner of New England Sportswear, was charged with providing a false letter of warranty to the city.
  • Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino announced a deal with Sustainable Playland last week to manage and revamp Rye Playland. However, some county legislators aren't convinced that that deal is the best thing for Playland. Some legislators believe that the deal could diminish the park and is a risk for the county's taxpayers.
