RYE, N.Y. - Booths, crafts and games along Purchase Street in Rye Sunday helped the Chamber of Commerce kick off the holiday season with its 10th Annual Mistletoe Magic event.
Aside for games and crafts for children, a chili cook off gave visitors the chance to try six different chilis for a $10 donation to the Rye Chamber of Commerce Scholarship fund.
The Chamber aso held a raffle with prizes donated from various stores in Rye.
“It’s a great day, with family fun and a great way for Chamber of Commerce members to give back to the community.” Said Margaret Ricketts, a Chamber member who was running the raffle booth.
Young children had the opportunity to meet Santa Claus, ride in a horse carriage, ride in a trackless trolley, go for a pony ride or watch a puppet show.
“It is great to see a lot of people and children out at the event this year.” Said Sue Pearlman, the Chamber Treasurer and a Realtor with Coldwell Banker, one of the festivals sponsors.
