Rye YMCA Honors Three at Annual Dinner

RYE, N.Y. - The Rye YMCA honored three community members and welcomed five new members to the Y's board of trustees at the organization's annual dinner on Thursday.

Rye resident Tim Clark was presented with the Gold Spirit Award, the evening's most prestigous volunteer award, for his six years of service on the board. Clark served on the board from 2005-2011, including two years as board president.

Augustina Santucci of Rye was honored with the Community Service Award for her work with the Port Chester Carver Center and her involvement with the Bronx-based crisis transition organization POTS (Part of the Solution).

Rye High School senior Kevin Heyel was presented with the Woof Haneman Scholarship Award in recognition of his community service and involvment with the YMCA. The annual award is named in memory of Haneman, longtime Rye resident and YMCA supporter.

The dinner was also an opportunity to welcome new board members Kevin Kavanagh,Paulette Mann, Patty Mosher, Neal Sterns and Liam Winters as well as honor departingboard members, Pat Jakobson, Kim Larsen, Judy Myers, Tim O’Toole and KelleyWorman.
