Rye Student Likes Rainy Days

RYE, N.Y. -- Second-grader Varoun Gosula greeted Friday's downpour in shorts and tennis shoes. "I like the rain because I get to play board games," said Varoun, 7, who goes to Osborn School. With heavy rains during the day, students spent recess and lunch indoors, which gave Varoun the opportunity to play chess and card games. To top of Varoun's rainy Friday, he had no homework for the weekend.

Chances of showers and thunderstorms are expected throughout the weekend. With all this rain, Varoun will have plenty of time indoors to play board games.
