Rye PBA Chief Facing Harassment Charges

RYE, N.Y. -- The president of the Rye police union has been charged with second degree harassment after an altercation with a critic at an Eastchester car show, according to LoHud.com

Franco Compagnone, 43, assaulted Rye resident Jim Amico at a hot dog truck during the Moonlight Cruisers Classic Car Show, according to the report. Three days prior, Amico was critical of Compagnone in a letter to the editor in the Rye City Review, LoHud.com said. 

Compagnone was suspended with pay after turning himself in, LoHud.com reported.
