RYE, N.Y. -- Marisa Curlen, a 20-year-old Rye High School graduate, was found dead in her dorm room at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va., early Friday morning, according to reports.
Curlen, a sophomore who played varsity volleyball at Rye, was found dead between midnight and 8 a.m., according to News 12 Westchester. The medical examiner has not released the cause of death, the report said.
The autopsy is pending, but reports on both News 12 and CBS New York cited alcohol poisoning as the believed cause of the death.
Curlen is the third Rye High School Class of 2013 graduate to die in college.
