RYE, N.Y. The former superintendent of the Rye Colony apartments Kujtim Nicaj was arraigned today on an eight-count indictment charging him with two felony burglary charges and six counts of sexual misconduct for allegedly engaging in multiple sex acts with a 15-month old Labrador retriever .
Nicaj, 41, was arrested on Feb. 9 by Rye Police after footage from a NannyCam set by up the dog's owner revealed the sexual misconduct.
Nicaj was originally slated to be arraigned in Rye City Court on Mar. 8, but had his court date pushed back at his lawyer's request to Tuesday, May 8.
If convicted, the district attorney's office said Nicaj could face a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison and would have to register as a sex offender.
Nicaj's next scheduled court date is May 29 in Westchester County Court in White Plains.
